Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day is on its way to becoming the biggest opening weekend in cinema history.

The movie made $72 million in previews on Wednesday and Thursday. This record was previously held by Avengers: Endgame, which racked up $60 million in its opening week previews.

Brand New Day, which once again stars Tom Holland as Spider-Man/Peter Parker and Zendaya as MJ, collected $168 million domestically on Friday, July 31. Sony is projecting that the film will gross $325 million in its opening weekend, while others suspect that the film could beat Endgame’s $357.1 million opening.

Deadline estimates that if Brand New Day surpasses $105 million today, Aug. 1, it will have a shot at beating Endgame’s first-week record.

The Hollywood Reporter believes that the film is set to at least displace Spider-Man: No Way Home from the No. 2 spot in all-time North American film debuts.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day collected $2.16 billion worldwide and crossed $1.80 billion in India.
